The official TikTok app is free, gets every real feature the moment it rolls out to your account, and can't get you banned. Get it only from the official stores: - **Android:** Google Play — search "TikTok" by TikTok Pte. Ltd., or open [TikTok on Google Play](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zhiliaoapp.musically) - **iPhone:** App Store — search "TikTok" by TikTok Ltd., or open [TikTok on the App Store](https://apps.apple.com/app/tiktok/id835599320) ### Before you tap install, check three things 1. **The developer name.** On Google Play it should read "TikTok Pte. Ltd."; on the App Store, "TikTok Ltd." Anything else is not the real app. 2. **The download count and reviews.** The real TikTok has billions of downloads. A "TikTok" with 10,000 downloads is an imposter. 3. **Keep it updated.** Real features — like the profile banner when your account is allow-listed — arrive through official updates.
